Review: Vacation on 4k UHD - finally a comedy movie on 4k physical media!!!
Vacation (2015) makes its way to 4k UHD from Warner Bros.
I’ve been screaming for years why more comedies haven’t made their way to the 4k UHD physical media format! The Warner Gods have heard my cry delivering the Vacation (2015 remake) onto 4k UHD!
I’ve not seen this movie in years and to my delight I soaked up every bit of it in 4k UHD with Dolby Vision/HDR.
A movie like this that’s on the go and traveling, seeing various locations across the country requires picture perfection. The HD version always felt sublime to me. I was missing background and facial details or in traveling shots - things just didn’t jive well when streaming it.
Well now in 4k UHD I get to experience everything I love about this movie in flawless details. Incredible textures are enhanced from the backgrounds to the fronts.
Details are well defined without being too over exposed. Warner Bros. has been on a roll lately with dropping legacy titles on the 4k BD format and to Warner Bros. - I see keep bringing them on!!!
Included is a lossless DTS HD-MA 5.1 Surround audio mix. It sounds fantastic with levels nicely balanced throughout. A crisp audio for a crisp comedy!
