REVIEW: Paddington in Peru 4k UHD
Hello All! Fresh off a disappointing weekend at the box office, here I am having time to get caught up on some of my review copies.
Studio Canal recently sent me Paddington in Peru 4k UBD out of the UK for review. The 4k disc is region free while the BD is Region B locked.
I must say that Studio Canal delivers in this stunning 4k transfer for this fun film for the whole family!
Presented in Double Dolby (Dolby Vision + Atmos) picture and audio stun in this 4k transfer from Studio Canal.
PICTURE
The Dolby Vision/HDR presentation delights with vivid colors especially in the jungle / outdoor day scenes. Facial and clothing details are nicely detailed. This 4k picture is razor sharp and looked a lot better at home than at the theater and I’m a big supporter of going to theaters, but the film looked faded at my local theater and knew there was a lot more color and light to this picture and it’s true! The Dolby Vision/HDR enhances the picture throughout providing a truly crisp picture.
The Dolby Atmos track is beautifully balanced from musical numbers to musical score and dialogue all mixed to perfection. I never needed to adjust my remote.
The Atmos track really shines in the jungle and riverboat scenes providing a nice outdoor soundscape.
This is truly a 10/10 release and highly recommend! We really need more family movies on 4k! Go get your copy imported today - ZAVVI has it on sale now :)
