Review: Black Mass on 4k UHD
Stunning Dolby Vision transfer for Black Mass delivers massively on long awaited 4k UHD!
Where do I begin with this freaking release! OMG. This movie has been a top must own on 4k disc for a very long time. I remember seeing this one in theaters and just being abscessed with it. Johnny Depp transforms into a whole other person - unrecognizable! This film plays out slowly, but pays off in the end.
This film is notably a darker film, but with that Dolby Vision/HDR it significantly enhances those dark scenes and brings out the backgrounds and more of the character’s faces and wardrobe are seen in full detail as intended.
The film was shot on 35mm film.
This is a must-own otherwise I wouldn’t feature it on this blog with a review :)
Bonus Features:
The Manhunt for Whitey Bulger (near 1hr long doc)
Johnny Depp: Becoming Whitey Bulger
Black Mass: Deepest Cover
Darkest Crime.
