Take me back to 2002 - a golden year and era for comedy! Austin Powers in Goldmember the final of film of the film trilogy sees a 20yo Beyoncé acting in her debut performance and sees Demi Moore filling the role of Producer on this film - betcha’ didn’t know that last fact!
This film hasn’t had an updated BD release since 2011 - needless to say it was long overdue.

This latest Blu-ray transfer looks and sounds fantastic! Sometimes with Blu-rays I get a little nervous as the picture sometimes will lag on my 4k player, but not on this. Warner Bros with their high standards mastered and encoded this BD to the max potential and this transfer never lags and looks and sounds fantastic!
The picture is very bright and vivid all throughout with the picture giving 10/10 vibes. From the sets to the costume designs everything just stands out - being very practical definitely helps with this too, but the film does not look dated ant all! That’s why we love a good action comedy with practical effects and giant set builds! Even up close facial details can be seen well and not blurry.
I’d be darned if this isn’t derived from a 4k restoration transfer because of the quality, but couldn’t find any details about it online. Now I must inquire, because the quality is damn good!
The audio track included is a crisp sounding Dolby True-HD 5.1 master audio track. With dialogue, action sequences and the film’s brassy score sound levels perfectly balanced - didn’t need to adjust the remote one time!
Highly recommend this 10/10 blu-ray release from Warner Bros.
