Horror Classic "Ghost Ship" gets Blu-ray re-release from Warner Bros.
I'm scared, can't sleep...
Ahhhh the good ol’ haunting New Line Cinema and Dark Castle early 2000s logos abound on my screen again taking me back as I feel like a ghost since this movie came out in 2002. This film is an iconic horror movie 100% because of that opening scene - no spoilers in case your the rare ghost that hasn’t seen, but what a horrible way to die and the kills were wowsers! Still can’t sleep after re-watching this one.
In fact, on the back of the BD is a quote from the San Francisco Chronicle calling the film “ONE OF THE SCARIEST MOST ORIGINAL HORROR MOVIES IN YEARS!
Anywho, Warner re-released this horror classic onto a BD-25.
Finders keepers. Any abandoned ship floating in international waters can be claimed and towed to part by whoever is fortunate enough to find it. Or, in the case of one team of salvage experts, unfortunate enough.
In this stylish, effects-packed chiller from Dark Castle Entertainment, salvagers trained for any situation imaginable come face to horrifying face with the unimaginable after boarding a derelict luxury liner. n
Julianna Margulies, Ron Eldard, Isaiah Washington and Gabriel Byrne are among the hands on deck who'll confront a seafaring collector of souls, Steve Beck (Thirteen Ghosts) directs this terror tour de force. Bon voyage, fright fans.
Presented in 1080p HD with an aspect ration of 16x9 1:85:1.
The audio track included is a crisp sounding Dolby TrueHD Master Audio track. Dolby TrueHD was essentially the Atmos of the time as Atmos didn’t come out until 6 years later in 2012.

A lot of people will always talk about the opening scene and rightfully so but the rest of the movie is pretty good as well
Fantastic opening scene … the rest of the movie was decent, not great. Most of the Dark Castle catalog is worth watching at least once.
