Hit feel good film from Nancy Myers"The Intern" gets the 4k UHD physical media treatment from Warner!
Fans of physical media yesterday were surprised to see all of the 4k announcements for Q4. One of those surprise title announcements was Director Nancy Myer's hit film "The Intern".
“The Intern” starring Robert DeNiro and Anne Hathaway grossed $194M+ at the worldwide box office when it opened on September 25, 2017. Director Nancy Myers is the feel good comedy hitmaker from the 1997 “The Parent Trap” with Lindsay Lohan and “It’s Complicated” amongst other popular high gross romantic comedies.
This film, however, is the first film ever for Nancy Myers to receive a 4k UHD physical media release.
Warner released a digital version of the film on 4k UHD about a year ago on PVOD, but not on physical media. Up until now it’s only had a blu-ray and DVD release.
The studio says the physical media release will contain a DTS HD-MA 5.1 Surround audio track and with an aspect ratio of: 1.78:1
